I love the fact I can flip the seat for my boy to be looking at me when on walks, he looks very comfy in it, the unfolding system is cool and the folding is easy. Then I found Albee baby but was a little hesitant because I’m not an online shopper really and I’m a new mom so idk much about baby stuff and stores, but read a bunch of reviews and decided to go with it. I would definitely say the seat is suitable for a toddler and bigger baby rather than a little baby without the optional seat reducer. The openings are also where the adapters for car seats or carrycot attach. The shopping basket (which can be removed easily and carried like a conventional shopping basket – great for picnics) will take your essentials, but as Quinny have designed this pushchair for rougher terrain they have kept the basket smaller to give good clearance, you can even zip the basket up if you were going through wet grass or deep puddles to keep it out the way and it has a mesh lid to stop your tins of beans from jumping out over the bumps!
Far removed from Quinnys other petite models the Speedi is designed to be sturdy and spacious, and you can really tell it means business in this department as soon as you unfold it. One thing to note though, compared to other off-road pushchairs the Speedi doesn’t feel too bulky, for some reason although it’s wide and well balanced, it doesn’t feel too much like you’re pushing a tank around which is common in so many other off-road types – it actually has the nippy feeling I am used to with a Quinny. On getting the Quinny Speedi out the box, all you have to do is pop the wheels and the hood on, open it up and it’s ready for action. In the meantime my trick is to fold up one of Ari’s cardigans to create a little back pad that pushes her forward.
The suspension on the Quinny Speedi is great – the wheels seem to absorb the lumps and bumps making for a surprisingly comfy ride for Ari. Pros: Super off-roader with great suspension, height-adjustable handles making it easy to push, rather sexy looking. Then take floor-model strollers for spin around the store, just to get a feel for them, even if you ultimately plan to buy online or plan to add them to your baby registry.
