  • Would you like to know how to have fun achieving your goals?
Let's play a game. Do you take on different games in your life? Like making your goals into a game? I always teach my clients to have fun and be playful with their goals.
  • Why won't they change?
Are there people in your life who you wish you could change? Take a moment to survey the people in your life and think about who you have been trying to fix, correct, or change. Do you believe that if they just changed this or that things would be better for you and them?
  • Trust Yourself
A lot of people lack confidence and trust in themselves to make positive choices in their life. Have you ever had to make a decision about something and you went to other people to help you choose? Have you ever felt like you should or should not do something but you didn't follow your knowing or feeling? Do you doubt whether your knowing is valid or right? Maybe you do not even believe you can make good sound choices on your own?
  • Stress relief in seconds.
I moved this week and I was feeling very stressed about moving. This experience reminded me of how in the past I use to respond to stress. I was a ball of worry and anxiety and I remember feeling like a victim of my stress, as if I had no control over it. Now I have learned how to handle stress, one exercise that is so simple and effective I want to share with you. It is the little trick of taking deep slow breaths.
  • Just Observe.
Do you ever feel like your mind is going in ten thousand directions? Does it ever seem like your mind is obsessed with a certain thought or situation?
  • Forgiveness in relationships
I chose to write about this particular excerpt on forgiveness in relationships because what she is writing about is how you can have freedom, love, and peace in relationships. We are blocked from that experience because there is a pervading belief in our society that we need to defend and protect ourselves against attack from others as a way to keep our power. This unfortunately only causes so much unnecessary suffering in our lives.
  • Feel confident and clear about what you want.
Have you noticed that when you are clear and concise about what you want you feel more confident? You especially feel confident in knowing you will get it. Half the battle of feeling confident is knowing what you want and being clear about getting it. Self-doubt comes from being unclear, confused, and fearful about the future and what we want you want in your life.
  • Do you suffer from thoughts and feelings of guilt?
Who is not plagued with feelings of guilt and self-judging thoughts? You said something did or did not do something, and as a result you feel tremendous guilt and judge yourself.
  • Do you have a vision of your perfect life?
Do you have a vision of your perfect life? Could you describe it to someone if you were asked right now? I have caught myself at times unsure of what I want for my life. Unable to describe the perfect life where I have everything I want. This lack of vision has caused me to run around in circles and produce results that were not necessarily what I wanted for my life.
  • Do you feel like you just do not get enough done?
At the end of the day do you find yourself feeling like you did not do enough? Do you feel guilty because there was stuff you had intended to do that you did not get to? How often do you take the time to celebrate and acknowledge yourself for all the things you accomplished in a day? I am going to say that you do not do it often maybe even ever.
  • Do you compare yourself to others?
Do you evaluate what other people have, achieved, or own and compare it to you? After which do you decide whether you are better, worse, or equal to the other person? You may think to yourself "what is the problem with comparing myself to others"? "It helps me track how I am doing." The downfall to comparing yourself to others is that you get your validation and self worth from others and not from within.
  • Do you avoid certain feelings?
Do you avoid feeling sad, angry, or vulnerable? Some feelings can cause you to lose power and as a result you feel less confident. So you try to avoid that feeling so that you do not lose your power. Many people are mis-educated about feelings, they believe that what they feel defines them and they will be stuck with that feeling.
  • Being nice is over rated
There is a common pattern I see many women have which is a need to be nice. Women who are nice all the time and don't ever say anything that may offend someone and always say the nice right thing.
  • Are you waiting to be happy?
People believe that happiness is a place to reach. That once you achieve this or that then you will be happy. I constantly catch myself in this pattern. Here's the deal happiness is a state of being not a destination. You can access the state of being happy at anytime.
  • Are you in a funk?
Life tends to be up and down. One moment you are going along, everything is falling into place and then all the sudden things stop and you fall into a funk. People always find being in a funk a discouraging place to be. Funks are associated with being in a bad or negative spot.
  • Are you distracted?
Do you feel like you keep getting distracted from what you want to do and achieve? I find that many people who are not following their dreams and life purpose are distracted. They get caught up in other things that don't fulfill them. This happens because they do feel confident enough in themselves to go after their dream or goals.
  • Are you afraid to make mistakes?
Making mistakes are a big part of life, right? So why do you avoid making them? Usually mistakes are where you learn and grow the most. However, you spend most of your time avoiding them, hence, not allowing yourself to grow. Fear of failing and not wanting to make a mistake stop you from playing a big in life.
