Teenage Acne: Is There a Cure?

By: Mike H. Walden

What are the reasons of teenage acne and how can the situation be overcome

Teenage acne is bad news – it is painful and the impact at the puberty stage of the person’s life can only be negative. The teenager often suffers emotionally, intellectually and socially.

The scars on the face that are for everyone to see do have an impact, but they are nothing when compared to the deep psychological impact they can have on the self esteem of the young person. The impact is often so deep that the person’s personality gets changed and it carries on even in the adult years, long after the blemishes are gone.

I should know because I suffered myself – not for a short time, but for as many as 13 years. And needless to say, teenage acne had a great deal of impact on my emotional as well as intellectual growth. Most of time I would spend alone, in shame and guilt. Acne was the culprit and it did not allow me to have a normal teenage life. It took me 7 years of extensive research and experimentation to finally solve my acne problem. And today I am happy because I have been able to solve the acne problem. My social life gas improved tremendously as the acne has not made a comeback.

I want you to please go through this report because it explains the causes of acne and also details the best ways to get rid of it. This report is also a guide as to what parents should do when their teenagers suffer from this debilitating condition.

Know the theories and understand the symptoms of teenage acne

The manifestations of teenage acne are many and the variants may be in the form of whiteheads and blackheads, painful cysts and severe boils. The breakout may be severe, mild or moderate. A moderate attack will give the teenager more number of lesions on the face and a few on the back and the chest. However in all severe cases, the acne is all over the body (face, neck, shoulder, back and the chest) and the cysts look quite bad as there is scarring.

Severe teenage acne statistically seems to affect males more – and in them, the growths are more on the chest and the back.

Many people have many ideas as to the causes of teenage acne. There are those who are convinced that blocked hair follicles are the culprit. Then there’s a few who say that not the follicles, but the bacteria around them that are to be blamed. There’s a third school of thought who say that it’s all in the genes. Lifestyle related factors and lack of nutrients have also been blamed for teenage acne.

So what is the real cause? I embarked to find out and friends, it took me 7 long years to do so. My research curve went through errors, trials and experiments and in the end I did learn the complete truth. And today I am convinced that I know it – because I have been able to permanently eradicate the acne.

So what really causes teenage acne?

Do not make the mistake of believing that the acne will go away on its own. That is because it is not a temporary condition. It is caused by an internal problem and that issue needs to be resolved. Also, do not make the mistake of just treating the symptoms with antibiotics, creams and OTC medications – because when you do this, the symptoms may show signs of clearing up, but the acne returns since the causes remain. And often, teenage acne returns even in the adult years.

Basically there are just 3 factors that cause the teenage acne. Factor # 1 – Hormonal imbalance in the body when it is unable to regulate its level. Factor # 2 – A high level of toxic materials when the body’s mechanism of removing them is disturbed. Factor # 3 – Overproduction of oil within the body due to hormonal imbalance.

So the hormonal level need to be balanced and the level of toxins managed to treat and cure teenage acne.

Teenage acne – this is what the parents should know

The issue is quite serious because the emotion and the social life of the teenager is concerned here. Thus the parent of the person suffering from teenage acne need to be understanding and sensitive here.

Blame the teenager and you are sure to magnify the problem. And what for will you be blaming him or her? Instead of making him or her feel guilty, you should try to reach out and show empathy and patience. Help the teenager fight the teenage acne. Remember your own teenage life and how you yourself suffered?

Look and your son or daughter? Do you feel the pain in the eyes, the frustration the person is going through? Talk to the teenager and make him or her understand the problem and say that they are not to be blamed for it.

Every teenager wants a quick cure – you can be sure about this. And it is important that they get the cure because otherwise the intellectual and the social life would be impacted. Your research can show them the direction and help them achieve the cure that they deserve.

Permanently solving the teenage acne problem

No matter what anyone might tell you, the fact remains that there is just one way in which you can permanently get rid of teenage acne, and that is by fixing the internal issues. The acne that you see on the surface is just the symptom and trying to get rid of it would have no impact because the problem remains. Creams such as benzoyl peroxide, conventional drugs, antibiotics and steroids are quite useless and the bad news is they might actually make the situation worse. So concentrate on the internal causes instead.

The holistic approach can challenge all the underlying factors – both the internal factors and the external symptoms and it can give you the permanent relief that you need. The holistic approach can also solve your other health issues that can arise from hormonal imbalances such as kidney problems and hair loss. Stop teenage acne and never again let a teenager suffer intellectually, socially and emotionally.
