Ladies and Gentlemen! We all love jewels and the majority of us love rings. But for those people who do not, we don't have much of a choice when it's time to getting engaged or married. It is a well known customary to swap rings. But rings can be worn for fashion or to show standing in civilization. The actual fact is that we tend to love rings and almost every society on earth wears them. So where did our love of rings originate? Why do we love them so much? All this will be answered with this short editorial.

Rings have been found in history as early as the Egyptian civilization of the pharaohs where rings have been seen with engravings of the beetle which were speculated to be a symbol of the globe. Rings are found elsewhere on earth such as in North America amongst the Native American tribes and in addition in the Far East.

Rings became fashionable in the west beginning in medieval Europe. They were worn by the trendy ruling elite and likewise by their underprivileged subjects. Where the poorer people would wear rings comprised of inexpensive and inferior quality substances, the wealthy wore Gold and jeweled rings. Rings became a symbol of power and in many cases were utilised in religious ceremonies as they were believed to hold magical powers. loads of rings were presupposed to be attributed to a certain God whom the wearer preferential in some way.

As an Asian, I can certainly tell you that where I come from rings have always been a big deal. These are linked to magical properties, gurus and astrologers.Many superstitious people go to these astrologers to solve some problem in their lives. The matter might be associated with money, love, prestige, professions or commerce. The astrologer will study their birth charts and come up with a cause why the planetary alignments are messing up these people's lives and then he will will prescribe some ring with a certain stone to offset the ill effects from the bad planets.

Rings are part of stories all around the planet. Recently, We now have seen the great Lord of the Rings made into a movie but this story in its many forms has been around for ages. Rings that contain a particular power and impact the whole world. These stories are fascinating and capture our imagination.

These days, the most important function of a ring might be to indicate love and commitment. Rings are used in wedding ceremonies and engagements to tie two people together. Rings are also used for fashion and for private significance. They will always be a part of our lives and hold a special place in our hearts.
