If you were to sit down with a network marketing coach, one of the first things she would say to you is "Tell me about your MLM strategy?..."How would you answer? One of the main problems with not having a strategy in place is you lack clarity. You are never sure if you are winning or losing because you have not created any objectives or goals for your business. It becomes very difficult to know if you are headed in the right direction.

Creating a network marketing strategy is not difficult but it does take a concentrated effort. Do this as soon as possible so you can begin tracking your progress and creating your success on purpose. Here are three keys to help get you started.

Three Keys to an Effective Network Marketing Strategy

(1) Money - How much money do you have to run your business? Out of that money how much are you going to spend on marketing and promotion? Each situation is unique but if I were to make a blanket recommendation, I would invest 10% of your available budget into your marketing.

(2) Type of Marketing - You now want to explore many different avenues available for marketing your business. Online attraction marketing consists of search engine optimization, blog marketing, pay-per-click, email marketing, article marketing, video marketing and more. I wouldn't attempt to become an expert in all of these areas at once. Pick one or two and go with it. Who knows, you may have enough success in one area, you won't need to explore other avenues right away.

In addition to internet attraction marketing, there are several offline methods available.

Here are a few alternatives to online marketing:

Direct Mail Postcards
Classified Ads
Radio Ads
Television Ads
Magazine Ads
Newspaper Ads

(3) Tracking - None of your planning efforts will do you any good if you do not track your progress. Arguments can be made all day long as to what marketing methods and strategies work the best. However, the data you compile is your best measurement. You need to prove to yourself what the most effective methods are.

Track every part of you MLM marketing plan from traffic to email list opt -ins' to conversion, to phone calls made. Start slow and gradually increase as you go along. Tracking is like your best friend who will never lie to you. He only shows you the facts.
