So you want to be a world class DJ play in the world's best clubs? So where should you start? The club capital of the world boasts some of the finest clubs that mankind has ever created.
The island is home to the finest clubs and the finest club nights and is alive to the sound of music every single day of the year. It is a great option for people that want to revel in all types of different dance music and with a wealth of super clubs the island is a sanctuary for clubbers from all over the world. Playing on the island is one of the greatest accolades that a DJ can achieve and getting a regular club night can be the pinnacle of many DJs careers. So get yourself some DJ equipment, get practising and maybe one day you'll be able to play at one of my favourite clubs in Ibiza.
Cafe mambo
Cafe mambo is as the name suggests memorable for its relaxed laid back atmosphere similar to that of a Parisian cafe. Renowned for playing the best funky house and chillout music it is a great place from which to enjoy the beautiful San Antonio sunset. Regular DJ spots are taken by the likes of Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Pete Tong.
The perfect place to pick up a cocktail and relax and enjoy quality tunes it has become one of the most popular venues for the beautiful people and with the glassy ocean, great music and stunning sunset it is difficult not to fall in love with the place. Better still Mambo does not charge a cover fee and as a result is a great place to catch the world's finest DJs without breaking the bank.
Privelege
This is the club that is famous for the ultra hedonistic sex shows that draws an unbelievable 14000 people every week for the world famous club night Manumission. Frequented by none other than Mauro Picotto the Privelege club is referred to as one of the coolest clubs in the world. With huge windows that overlook the islands countryside it is famous for the sunrise views which make the club even more special.
The club is not shy of the occasional surrealist moment and many circus performers and the weird and wonderful can be found throughout the club and people that have attended nights out always come out with a bizarre story to tell. The massive audience is sure to appeal to any aspiring DJ.
Pacha
This mega club regularly hosts nights with over 3000 people in attendance. Situated in the more up market Old Town part of the island the club is renowned for creating a carnival like atmosphere in which anything goes. The club has a number of different rooms that cater for all music tastes. So whether you like it funky, soulful, hard or techno there is something for you. Pete tong and Sasha regularly frequent the club and play tunes that make you want to get up from the cool and comfortable couches and enjoy the tunes to the fullest.
